Contractors of all types, beware of this wealthy couple that has landed in Rip Off Jail because of their refusal to pay a pool builder in full, opting instead to issue him a $16,000 check for a $45,000 balance. With their check came the stipulation to the contractor that his deposit of the check will be his affirmation that he accepts this below balance payment as his agreement that they are paid in full. This wealthy couple in Staunton, VA, as small town in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley, owns a shopping center and apparently thinks the builder is willing to accept such a mandate from them, because they don't think the work he did should have cost as much as they were billed, despite their numerous expensive additions they added to the pool install. They even told the builder, "We hope you will still stay on as our pool service company." The gall! Storm and his Unscrewed team are working to expose these rip offs in their local community through all available electronic, print, and social media sources if they refuse to pay the balance for the work done to install their jaw-dropping beautiful pool. Continued refusal to pay the balance due will result in collections and court action against Mr. & Mrs. Ripoff. Standby!
